Vacancy for Training Manager
Isherwoods, an international company producing innovative Ship Management and Integrated
Logistic Support (ILS) Systems and Service, based in the North East of England, wish to recruit
a Royal Navy Engineering or Seaman Branch Officer for the position of Training Manager, to
develop and manage a comprehensive Operator and Maintainer Training programme for the
United Arab Emirates (UAE) Navy’s new class of Corvette. The training contract has a duration
of approximately 60 months
Brief Job Description
N Develop and manage the training programme to time and budget;
N Recruit and manage the Isherwoods training team;
N Train and manage a team of UAEN Instructors;
N Prepare and undertake assessments of client trainees;
N Liaise with the Prime Contractor and UAEN on all matters pertaining to the training
programme;
Brief Profile
N Minimum rank achieved whilst in service Lieutenant Commander;
Engineering Branch applicants should have as a minimum, served as a
WEO / MEO on a Frigate or Destroyer;
Seaman Branch applicants should have as a minimum, served as an
XO on a Frigate or Destroyer;
N Commercially aware with experience of controlling budgets;
N Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
N Experience in a training environment would be advantageous but not mandatory;
N Computer literate with extensive PC knowledge working in the Windows environment.
