WATCH IRISH STARS OF AFL
THE Irish stars are coming to the fore in
the Australian Football League. Tadhg
Kennelly (Kerry) has recovered from Injury
and will be the only overseas player playing
in the 150th Anniversary Dream Team game.
Setanta O hAilpin (Cork) and Marty Clarke
(Down) have been among the goal scorers
for Carlton and Collingwood respectively,
while up North Colm Begley (Laois) has
cemented his place on the Brisbane Lions
team. With five more players on the verge of
a first team breakthrough – Michael Shields
and Aisake O hAilpin (both Cork) at Carlton,
Kevin Dyas (Armagh) at Collingwood, Pierce
Hanley (Mayo) at Brisbane and Brendan
Murphy (Carlow) at Sydney … you can see
