My Great RV Story!
As one travels about the country, we see new things
and our experiences are both educational and a
continuing learning experience. In 1999 my lovely
wife and I were touring the USA for a once in a life
time trip. We toured in a pickup with a camper and
a utility trailer behind. My wife at times would go
into the camper and lay down for a nap. This was
the case somewhere in the mid west. I decided to
pull into a gas station and top my tank. As I fueled,
my wife decided to take a potty break. I might add
that I was not informed of her departure from the
camper. Being fueled and paid, I departed for places
unknown.
Needless to say, phone coverage in this area was
poor at best. About an hour later, I tried to call my
wife on the two radio we had, no response, she must
be sleeping hard. A while later I found this nice spot
for lunch and pulled off the highway. I opened the
camper door and found it empty! You guessed it,
OH POOP, I’m in trouble now. I hopped in the truck
and headed back to the station where I found her
awaiting my return, not in a good mood, but never
the less we learned a lesson here..at least I did.
