Advertisers & Their Pets!
PHOTO COMPETITION 3 winning photos will be chosen from among our advertiser’s submissions. The winning entry and two runners up will be
published in the January 2009 issue of Homes of the Big Island
Magazine. All photos should feature the pet or pets of the listing
agent, as well as the listed property in a creative and attractive
manner. The listing agent may or may not be in the scene, but
preference will be given for photos depicting the listed home,
the listing agent, and his or her pet all in the scene creatively.
The 3 prize categories for judging are:
o Best Overall Pet Photo Entry
o Most Spectacular View Photo Entry
o Most Spectacular Home Listing Photo Entry

Photos entered into the competition must be of the pet and the
advertiser, it cannot be the pet or pets alone! The most impresive will
incorporate a current listing into the composition.
Commercial photo publishing rules apply (including but not limited to,
Not Bad, but permission from property owner, or other proprietary permission based on
where’s the listing? the backdrop or background of the photo). To enter the contest you must
be a current month-to-month or long term advertiser in HOMES of the Big
Island magazine at the time of contest entry.
Entries should be sent by ftp and submitted as high resolution jpg files
before October 31st. Contest specifics and rules are available on our website.
The jury panel will consist of 3 judges from our publishing crew, 3 judges
from a local media company and 4 judges from local veterinary clinics.
The three winners will be notified by December 1st and the winning photos
will be published in the Jan. 15th, 2009 issue.
