Ok, mobile users – I hate to say it, but when it Ha

comes to night shooting you’re probably the worse off of the three! Never
fear though – we’ve got some tips to help you out.
1
don’t fight your phone
If your phone’s camera has a night
mode, use it! Any mode that talks
about low-light, night, high ISO, anti-
shake or any other combination will
help you take better pictures after
dark. Also, make sure you’re shooting
at the highest file size and resolu-
tion you can, even if that’s only 1 MP
(bless)
2
flash! ah-aah
Take a look at the type of flash
your phone’s sporting. If you’ve got a
Xenon flash then you’re onto a win-
ner – if you’ve got an LED flash, your
pictures won’t be as bright, but they’ll
still be better than if you don’t use a
flash at all. Don’t expect your flash to
light up a room – but it will help.
3
keep it steady
The single best thing
you can do to improve ✓
your night-time pictures
is to keep your phone still
while you’re taking the
shot. Hold your phone like
you would a camera for

maximum stablility – and
make sure your lens is
clean, specially if you’ve
been carrying your phone
around in your bag.
