Why do it?
• Introduce positional play for strikers
• To give all players a go ‘up front’
How to do it?
• Normal game except each team has a player (marked by a different colour bib) who plays as a ‘lone striker’
and if they score the goal is worth 3.
• Goals by other players are worth one.
• Remember to regularly change the target players.
Don’t just copy it, improve it
• Have 2 ‘target’ players
• Award 2 goals for goals which the target player set up
• Have a player ‘man mark’ the target player
