We want this publication to serve refreshing for all who encountered
as an introduction to who we are it. Our world can sometimes feel
as a church and how we can serve like a desert, and so our 21st-cen-

Nearly a century ago our founders
wanted the name of their new Move-
ment to express their vision and val-
ues – and so chose the name ‘Elim’.
This was the name of an oasis in the
Bible that the people of Israel discov- John Glass
ered as they wandered through the General Superintendent
