MALARIA & POLYMICROBIAL INTERACTIONS
April 28-May 16, 2008 Kampala (Uganda)
The Karolinska Institutet together with BioMalPar, MR4 and
Makerere University sponsor a three-weeks cross-cutting course
designed for motivated students engaged in the understanding
of infectious diseases and their molecular interplay.
Leading experts will present recent advances in the biology, im-
munology and intervention strategy of infectious agents present
in the tropics. The course will focus on malaria, in particular Plas-
modium falciparum and its interactions with other disease-causing
microbes (M. tuberculosis, HIV etc).

This competitive international course is intended for PhD students
and postdocs who wish to expand and update their understanding
Plants for Life
of the field. Combining insights from literature, field experience
and a variety of scientific experts, the course focuses on increas-
