Editors Note
Welcome to this bumper edition of Spoonews. So
much has happened over the last quarter in Spoon
but sadly the magazine can only report on a fraction
of that. In this edition, we are singing from the roof
tops to praise TNT, our single biggest contributor.
Once again the staff have surpassed themselves and
raised another record amount for Spoon.
The size of the ‘Calendar of Events’ has been
increased to squeeze in the fantastic number of
activities taking place over the next year. All over the
country there are golf days and dinners, benefiting
events and people running up mountains and across
deserts to support Spoon. You are very much the
unsung heroes - but whatever the contribution, small
or large they are all huge from where we are sitting!
The desire to report all the forthcoming events and
past activities is putting a strain on our resources and
in this day and age we rely more than ever on the
ease and practicality of the Internet.
Before the next edition of the magazine is printed,
the spoon website will have had a major make over.
The website contains the most up-to-date news and
I urge you all to visit it on a regular basis to remain
abreast of activities in your Region.
To this end we are introducing a digital version of
this edition of Spoonews on the website. Please do
take a look, pass it on to friends and colleagues and
let us know what you think. Would you prefer to
receive your edition of Spoonews electronically?
And of course by the time you receive the next
edition of Spoonews, the RWC 2007 will be in full
flow… is it really four years since Martin Johnson
adorned the cover of this magazine? Contents
I wish you all a pleasant summer and hope the sun
shines where ever you are and whatever you do.
