two brand new ranges from artist
Philip Stuttard - “Local Heroes” and
“Sheep ‘n’ Dales”. Both have already
seen considerable success as original
paintings and limited edition prints
through Washington Green, but as
figurines they take on a life of their
own.
Formerly a cartoonist, Philip has a
wealth of humorous ideas, and his
skills as both an artist and sculptor
(he sculpts all the figurines himself)
are considerable. Both ranges have
been extremely well received and will

As Washington Green’s main business is market-
ing and retailing original art and limited edition
prints, it should come as no surprise that one
of their major licensing areas are extensions to
their paper-products.
They have partenered up with key companies
in each sector, including Brown Trout for cal-
endars, W & G Prints for posters, and very re-
cently Medici for greetings cards. In each case
the product is marketed as a Washington Green
collection in association with the licensor. The
new partnership with Medici is particularly ex-
citing, as Washington Green expect it to build
on the success they have had with their own
card company to take the company’s portfolio
of artists to new heights on cards.
