San Pedro rock band Ambrosia soared to the top of the
radio charts in the 1970s and early ‘80s with romantic
mega-hits like ”You’re The Only Woman,” “How Much I
Feel” and “Biggest Part of Me.” But today, the group’s fearless
expedition into symphonic progressive “art” rock and pop-
styled R&B keeps their music fresh and inspiring.
This month, guitarist and original Ambrosia member
Joe Puerta chats with UTS about how a band of teenaged
Southern California rock musicians changed its destiny
when fate dropped them into the alternative world of
classical music.
