I love this picture of my SoCal buddy Dave
Huh. During a recent session he hardly
fished, just watched us throwing our leads
to the usual spots in the midst of dense
weed. All the time knowing we had no
chance of getting those fish in. As night fell
he opted to drop his bait really close on
the bankside of a weed bed we’ve been
casting over all summer. No more than
twenty feet from the bank in 3 feet of
water. You guessed it we got skunked he
had 4 fish in one hour as the sun rose
over the Angeles National Forest and the
busy Interstate highway 5. Tactics where
as always, a pure fusion!
He’s back! There’s no stopping
Hector Sara or “Dad of Alex the
competition winning machine” as
we like to call him here at
USCPmagazine. A busy session
saw several fish to 20lb coming to
his net. He’s busy doing his
homework on a new local water
and is expecting big things in the
spring.
