Brummie Bri has been walking
the aisles and checking through
the catalogues for bits and pieces
he thinks could help your carp
and Gizmos
fishing, every month weʼll see
what we can turn up....
Fluorocarbon leaders have been
causing quite a stir and some are
even suggesting using them
instead of the usual leadcore. If
you saw last months underwater
feature youʼll know that with the
wrong choice of color your
leadcore will stick out like a sore
thumb. The pre made clear
leaders like Kordas safe zones are
great, but expensive. Iʼve been
experimenting with higher
breaking strain Seagar. I use
higher breaking strain for stiffness
to ensure itʼs anti tangle. Tied
securely to my main line which is
30lb Power Pro with an Albright
knot, it also offers a degree of
stretch to cushion those last
minute lunges at that net. With a
T
small flying back lead above the
OP
main line note I can keep it pinned
down and virtually invisible to Mr TIP
and Mrs Carp.
