Now that that you have decorate the two halves of your file folder, it’s time to put
them together. This is easy. The half of the folder with the tabbed label area
makes your cover, front and back. The other half of the folder is simply placed
inside.
Insert the 8”/9 ¾” folder section inside the 6 ½” /4 ½” folder section to create the
waterfall effect. Make certain that they are fitted tightly together and that the
edges are even.
While firmly holding the pages in place, use a strong hole punch to make five
holes, evenly spaced, approximately ½” in from the edge of spine of the album.
Lace the holes with ribbon and fibers that coordinate with you papers. Tie them
tightly as they are what hold the album together.
Step 6
This is optional, but I found it helpful. After you finish putting your album
together, fold each page use a bone folder to make a crease. You will do this just
inside where you punched the holes for the ribbon. This will allow the folder to
open easily.
