OCOTILLO GOLF RESORT PRO SHOP - It’s nice when you are recognized
as being one of the best at anything these days, and the Pro Shop at Ocotillo
Golf Resort has done that. Dan Morn, head golf professional and Jason
Surdey, merchandise manager are both celebrating the news that Golf World
magazine recently awarded them and the Pro Shop the honor of being on
the 100 Best Golf Shops list nationwide. The contest was based on a 30-point
review scale that covered visual style and setup of the showroom, sales
numbers, and the use of incentives and promotions. Located at the Ocotillo
Golf Resort, next to Bernard’s Restaurant, the pro shop, as is Bernard’s, are

PIZZA FACTORY - “We toss’em, they’re awesome” just about sums it up for
this new pizza eatery. Owners Mike and Dawn Bishop along with Christina
Sowers are busy tossing them and serving them at this fun, family styled
eatery. Customers and kids will enjoy watching their freshly made pizza dough
actually being tossed up in the air like in the old days. Pizza Factory offer
delicious homemade, hand-tossed pizza with quality ingredients and toppings.
They also serve pasta, calzones, deli sandwiches, a big salad bar, sodas, beer
and wine. Their signature dough and spices are the “secret” to their award-
winning pizzas. Pizza Factory will be opening their new outdoor patio just
in time for spring. They also have a large dining area that can be used for
