Coloring contest to win
Shrine Circus tickets
The SanTan Sun News is holding a coloring contest to give away
free tickets to the 2007 El Zaribah Shrine Circus Sept. 21 through 23.
Thanks to the local Sun Lakes Shriners chapter and the Arizona
Shriners organization, the newspaper is giving away 20 family
packages for free admission for two adults and four children, with
another 30 tickets for free admission for children when an adult ticket
is purchased.
The El Zaribah Shrine Circus
comes to Westworld’s Equidome,
16601 N. Pima Rd. in Scottsdale, at
6:30 p.m. Fri., Sept. 21; 11 a.m., 3
p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Sat., Sept. 22;
and 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Sun., Sept. 23. Rides will be given on
“the gigantic elephant” before the
show, and 14 bicycles will be given
away to one boy and girl at each
performance. At the 3 p.m. Sat., Sept.
22 show, there will be a Grand March
by the Shriners Units and Clubs riding motorcycles, three-wheeled
trikes, mini-cars, antique cars with clowns, camels and more.

issue or the Aug. 4 issue of the SanTan Sun News, or download

Members of the Sun Lakes Shriners will once again help judge the
contest, which will be divided into ages 5 and younger and ages 6 to
12. First place and honorable mention winners are selected from the
June 16, July 7 and 21, and Aug. 4 contests. Each fi rst place winner
receives free circus tickets for two adults and four children, and
honorable mention winners receive free children’s tickets. Children
ages 12 and younger are admitted free when accompanied by a
paying adult. Adult tickets may be purchased for $12, or for $10 when
accompanied with a children’s pass.
Shriners Hospitals for Children is a network of pediatric specialty
hospitals, founded by the Shrine, where children younger than
18 receive medical care free of charge. There are 18 orthopedic
Shriners hospitals, three Shriners Hospitals dedicated to treating
children with severe burns and one Shriners Hospital that provides
orthopedic, burn and spinal cord injury care. The Sun Lakes Shriners
