with Word provides a step-by-step, comprehensive understanding of the various formatting
styles used in today’s business world. By joining this class students not only learn formatting, but

also get aquainted with MicroSoft Word concepts. Prerequisites: 30 wpm with 5 or less errors
■
in a 5-minute timing.

KEYBOARDING—Master the keyboarding skills to meet the demand for prompt and
■ accurate keyboarding since it is the single most important element of office skills. Learn proper
■
techniques to attain keyboarding competency. Beginning students use a keyboarding program
that consists of a tutorial, reinforcement activities, and educational games; advanced students
■
improve speed and accuracy with computerized drills. Receive a speed certificate for a timed
■
typing test over 30 net words a minute with 3 or fewer errors in a 5-minute timing.

word development.

proofreading ability. Develop a critical eye toward your written world in the areas of accuracy,

grammar, punctuation, word and number usage, and capitalization. Learn to edit using accepted
■ revision marks. An open-entry course to prepare you for multi-level positions. Prerequisite:
