Air is delightfully fresh and vibrant. It is set in a manner reminiscent of Italian cinema of the 50s and 60s. T_h e simple sets – stacks of hay
bales; fi elds rolling off into the distance and a lone water tower – are bathed in a nostalgic golden hue. For “Una furtive lagrima,” the
stars of the night sky are created with bare light-bulbs on wires. Heidi Grant Murphy plays Adina to Ambrogio Maestri’s Dulcamara in
