Will you uphold and encourage them in their ministry?
hese Men are just some of those who were ordained days before the July Synod voted in effect to
drive them out. As we write this a Vocations Conference at St Stephen’s House is fully booked. God
has not ceased to call men to share in the apostolic pattern of priesthood. Their future ministry, and
the sacramental lives of the young folk that you see on pilgrimage to Walsingham (page 2) are at stake
in the battle that lies before us. Let our response be a joyful and resolute “We will!”
r JAMes hiLL celebrated his First Mass on 30th June at St Paul Tottenham. He was assisted by newly or-
dained Deacons Simon Morris (St Mary Lansdowne Road) and Matthew Burridge (St Silas & Holy Trinity
Kentish Town). The Bishop of Richborough and Fr David Houlding, Master-General SSC, were in attendance.

r Ben ArChiBALd was ordained Deacon in York Minster to serve
in the parish of All Saints, Middlesbrough.
r ChArLes MiLLer (above and below) was ordained to the Priesthood by Bishop Keith Newton, Bishop
of Richborough, at St Edmund’s Downham Market, where he continues to serve with Fr James Mather.
r MAttheW BUrridGe, new deacon serving as NSM at St Silas,
Kentish Town with Fr Graeme Rowlands.
