Walks and still going!
Frank Doyle holds the record for Wayfarers’ Walks – he’s done 54 trips since his
first Walk in 1990. Now aged 81, he’s laying plans for 2009. We asked him
what he loves most and why he keeps coming back to walk with us:
“T
he people that The Wayfarers attract are so nice. Over
dinner in the evenings you can have the most interesting
conversations. It’s marvelous to walk in beautiful surroundings
without all the hassle of wondering if you’re on the right path.
The Walk guides are brilliant: they tell you all about the nature,
history and culture of the area as you go along. And Wayfarers
always go to a lot of trouble to make sure the hotels and
restaurants are very good.” Frank Doyle
