Chris hoy’s daily fitness regime…
How do you train? i do most of my training at the indoor track
(velodrome), plus a fair amount on the road and in the gym.

Per week i probably do five days at the track, four on the road Tel: 0131 516 8660, www.fitnessbox.co.uk
and usually two days at the gym where i do a strict routine in a
three hour session.
What do you think about when training? the short term
goal for that session and giving your best for that.
What’s the most effective exercise? squats – they work a
variety of major muscles throughout your entire body, including
the glutes, hamstrings, abdominals and lower-back muscles.
Top tip? avoid poor technique and get advice from a
professional.
Do you have a healthy diet? i have a pretty balanced
diet, nothing too faddy, just common sense really. lots of
carbohydrates for energy, plenty of fish and white meat for
protein and lots of fruit and veg. i am a big believer that you get
out what you put in.
Do you take dietary supplements? after training i take
supplements to put back in what i have lost and also to ensure
the body is given a full chance to recover.
Your unhealthy vice? Chocolate or cakes
Do you recommend anything for men wanting to
bulk up? 10 – 12 reps in the gym with short recovery and make
sure you have a high protein diet.
