provided by private funds raised and adminis-
tered by the Trustees Development office in
conjunction with the Friends of the Greenwich
Library , one of the towns finest volunteer
groups The most prominent such project was the
building of the 32,000-foot Peterson wing.
The Greenwich Library consists of the main
library plus the Byram and Cos Cob branches.
It is considered one of the finest libraries in the
world and certainly is the best community library
in the country. To add a personal note, the library
is one of my favorite places in town for business
and pleasure and a great place to meet others so
inclined.
