SITUATED IN the heart of
London’s West End, Below Zero
is the perfect place to cool
down, quite literally too – as it’s
here in Heddon Street that the
Absolut Icebar is open for
business. With its constant
temperature of -5º consumers
are invited to step – well clad in
thermo cloaks – into a world of
ice. The bar is ice, the seats are
ice and the glasses are made of
ice – all made from the water
from Sweden’s River Thorne.
Sitting “snugly” outside this
below-zero experience is the
restaurant and bar lounge – set
over two floors the capacity is
big at 4,000 sq ft. Diners have
the choice of two menus, the à
la carte in the Moose dining
room or the signature grazing
menu – and the bar has a
dazzling array of spirits.
