Dear Friends,
I am writing this letter from Lviv, (also spelled Lvov) Ukraine as we conduct our 23rd JVMI Hear O' Israel!
International Messianic Festival of Jewish Music and Dance.
Over 200 workers have joined my wife and I to labor in this rich harvest field. Lviv, a large city of about
2,600,000 (includes the surrounding region), still has a very significant Jewish community and was one of
the largest cities in Ukraine yet to be reached by our ministry. Two large Ukrainian cities still
remain...Kharkov and Dnipropetrovsk and we hope to do festivals in both in the near future, so please
pray for these doors to open for us!
We're holding the Festival in the 30,000 seat football stadium, the largest venue in the city. Because the
stadium is outside the city center and buses stop running out here early, we needed to hire around 30
buses to shuttle people back and forth to the center of the city after each concert. It's actually quite a com-
plex endeavor. We've had to set up our own bus company of sorts! But it is certainly worth all the effort. I
can't tell you how exciting it is to see people flock into the stadium each evening and watch the Holy Spirit
transform lives! This is what I live for and I can't think of anything else I would rather be doing!! A heart-
felt thank you to all of you who gave to make this outreach possible. We will have a complete report with
pictures for you in our next issue.
We have focused on Israel once again in this issue. Every single day, it seems, Israel is in the headlines.
Ongoing bloodshed, terrorist attacks, US led initiatives to create a Palestinian state by trading Land for
peace, mounting hostility against Israel in Europe and throughout the world .... when will it all end? When
will there really be peace? The answer is never...at least not until the Prince of Peace returns\[ The
prophetic scenario concerning Israel is so very clear concerning the Last Days: "Jerusalem will be a heavy
stone burdening the world. And though all the nations of the earth unite in an attempt to move her, they
will all be crushed." (Zech. 12:3 Living Bible) Israel is and will remain the center of world attention and the
nations will all be against her. But God will watch over the Land and People of Israel, for "He who keeps
Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps." (Psalm 121:4) We've asked a number of Messianic Jewish and
Christian leaders living in the Land to share their views. I think you will find their perspectives informative
and insightful.
Although time is quickly running out, I do want to extend one final invitation to you to join me on our
upcoming JVMI teaching tour to Israel. The tour is almost full, but we do have a couple of seats left. This
is your chance, so you need to act quickly! The dates have moved up slightly...it will now be from
November 3-14, instead of 8-19. I promise you this - if you come, your Bible reading will never be the
same again!
I also want to extend a personal invitation to join my wife and I as we co-host, along with Bible scholar
and teacher, Dr. Randall Price, and Messianic Rabbi Avi Mizrachi from Israel, a 7 day cruise to the
Bahamas on behalf of the MJIF (Messianic Jewish Israel Fund) to help raise support for needy Believers
living in Israel. It is going to be a great time of teaching, fellowship and fun! The dates are January 10-17,

In closing, we are currently planning our 2004 outreach calendar. Please stand with us in prayer as we
seek direction from the Lord about where he wants us to hold outreach festivals next year. We have
numerous invitations and opportunities open to us in Ukraine, Russia, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, India and
Ethiopia. We need divine wisdom to choose His priorities, so please join your prayers with ours.
As always, I want to express my gratitude to you on behalf of our entire staff for your prayers and faithful
financial support of this ministry. You enable us to fulfill our calling to "proclaim Messiah to the World," to
the Jew first and also to the Nations. And, God willing, we will continue to do this faithfully until the Messiah
returns\[
