4 Stakeholder co-operation
Because sustainability has such broad interest, there is an imperative to include all
parties in the decision-making process. Interested parties are usually referred to as
stakeholders, and must be carefully identified and consulted. Such transparency in
decision making is vital to gaining overall support for a project or initiative.
Effective stakeholder co-operation can be a powerful motivational tool and an
