ENGINE DRIVEN
SIMPLITE
The Simplites are automatic priming, diaphragm pumps powered by either OHV
Honda petrol, (with oil alert), or Yanmar diesel, engines. They are fi tted with a nitrile
rubber diaphragm, so priming is unnecessary and indefi nite dry running is permissible.
They can handle site water, slurries, sand, silt and solids up to 13mm. The inlet and

outlet ports, pump chambers, covers and chain guards are all constructed from
aluminium. All models have a heavy duty steel chassis with handles, 250mm solid
rubber wheels, and a prop-stand, and are supplied with a suction strainer, but hoses are
extra. Maximum suction lift is 8.8 metres; however 6 metres, or less, is recommended.
This popular series of pumps is widely used by Utilities and regularly found on hire fl eets.

The Spate is also an automatic priming, diaphragm pump powered by a Yanmar diesel
engine. The twin pumping cylinder also incorporates nitrile rubber diaphragms and, ✔ Transfer ■ auto (“dry”) priming
like the Simplite, it can handle site water, slurries, sand and silt. Priming is unnecessary
■ site trolley
and indefi nite dry running is permitted. It can handle solids up to 6mm. The inlet and
■ petrol driven
outlet ports, pump cylinders and covers are all constructed in aluminium and the unit
■ diesel driven
is mounted on a site trolley with 250mm solid rubber wheels. Supplied with a suction
■ Honda engine
strainer (hoses extra). Maximum suction lift is 9.1 metres, however 6 metres, or less,
is recommended. Used extensively by utilities and hire companies, however, with an ■ Yanmar engine
alternative diaphragm (at extra cost), it is particularly useful in pollution control and oil spill
clean up.
