SURFACE
PE
These PE pumps have peripheral brass impellers and are non-self priming. They are
available with the option of a bronze or iron body. They have 416 stainless steel shafts,
which are fi tted with carbon-ceramic-NBR mechanical seals and have A.C., TEFV,
IP44 motors, but neither power leads nor switches are supplied. Single phase motors
incorporate an overload protection device. They are designed for pumping clean water

only, at temperatures up to a maximum of 90ºC. They should not be allowed to run dry,
■ clean water ✔ Wash-down
but by fi tting an optional pressure controller (see page 46) they can be protected from this
■ non self priming ✔ Irrigation and also start and stop the pumps automatically. With the addition of a foot-valve, they
are capable of a suction lift of 8 metres. Generally, they are industrial and process pumps

for pressure- boosting and circulating duties.
