“want-it-tomorrow” challenges. Our aim, as always, is to despatch
the majority of items on the day of order.
Obart was formed in 1972 and was located in Peckham, South
London. In those days we distributed construction equipment. In
1976 we became an Agent for Tsurumi Manufacturing Company
Ltd of Japan, and have consistently been their largest European
distributor since 2000. After a management buy-out in 1991, we
ceased sales of construction equipment and concentrated on our
core business of marketing pumps and associated products. Our
reputation has grown, and Obart has expanded as a result of the
unrivalled performance, quality and durability of Tsurumi’s products,
and our own attention to detail. Our success was enhanced by
the introduction of other world-class brands such as Honda and
Pedrollo. We anticipate that the introduction of the new brands will
further boost our status as the premier pump supplier in the UK.
