like JC Penney’s, Wal-Mart, K-mart, and Sears. She has
just had a major reorder from Mervyns, which for the first

Robbins may feel like she is still in the process of
creating her business model, (Palomita was really only
formally launched in stores in the Spring of 2007) but she
must be doing something right, because she just had an 88

Most recently, Robbins was honored by the San Francisco
Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for her leadership
efforts in the Bay Area.
Even though she is busy growing her business,
Robbins also wants to give back to the community and
has formed non-profit organization called The Palomita
Education Fund to provide scholarships and to promote
professional and leadership development of Latinos. In June
2008, she also initiated and hosted her first charity fashion
event Piensa Más Allá to raise money for the cause.
Robbins was born and raised in Mexico City and
came to the US for her college education. She got her first
job out of college working in the legal department of Levi-
Strauss & Co. After about three years though, she got more
interested in fashion and transferred into a position licensing
Levi products for Latin America. The job allowed her to
