style, and we have had to invest in more machines
to keep up with demand.”
Balmoral brought in corporatewear designer
Katrina Fineberg to design the range using the
Scottish manufacturer’s up-to-the-minute
computer-aided knitting machines. The result is
highly stylish, fine-knit garments with additional
features more often seen on the high street than
in corporatewear.
The jackets are designed with integral button-
holes and therefore do not need additional
strapping down the front. In addition the vents in
the welt are knitted into the garment during
manufacture; on older machines, unsightly
overlocking would be needed to achieve the same
result.
Balmoral has two stock styles. The Iona is the
medium-length version, while the Melrose is the
longer version.
