Is the Web Out of Control?
Social networking, instant communications, blogging: They’re all important but huge threats to corporate security and consistent delivery of strategy. Managed poorly, these technologies can become strains on productivity. Mike Wise of IdeaStar and Charles Wasilewski of The van Aartrijk Group explain how companies use communication technology to their advantage and reach customers they might never have otherwise.
LEE McDONALD: I’m Lee McDonald with the A.M. Best Company and welcome to today’s E-Fusion Webinar presentation. It’s a good one and we’re doing it a little bit differently than we’ve done some of the others. It’s “Is the Web out of Control?” So, welcome to our presenters here. We have Paul Tinnirello. In the studio, which is a first for our presentation, we have Charles Wasilewski. He’s with the van Aartrijk Group. We also have Mike Wise; he’s with IdeaStar coming in from Ohio.
We are recognizing three people who aren’t with us at the moment. One of them, of course, is Mike but we would like to thank them for all the help they are giving us throughout this E-Fusion series, those are our judges. We heard them last week; we’re going to hear them again next week. Pat Saporito is with Business Objects, Jamie Pickles with Canal Partner and of course, Mike Wise who’s been judging and then is part of one of these presentations. We’ve had Progressive so far, which was an outstanding presentation. We had American Family with their video. We’ve been getting a lot of traffic on those and then next week we’re going to have our final presentation. Next week we’re actually doing two presentations.
