• The physical data path becomes bigger as you
add more devices to the hub
• Connecting multiple hubs still results in one loop
• Only one “conversation” at any point in time
The preceding diagram shows two logical views of a hub:
The loop is a single continuous data path that connects all of the nodes.
All nodes must share this single data path.
Adding devices to the hub extends the length of the physical data paths.
