In this module we are going to look at some of the drivers that have taken us
on the path to implement storage area networks and network attached storage
architectures.
We will look at the evolution of both the business drivers, and the technology
advances, and how they help craft the different solutions available.
Some of this will be a history lesson, but it is always important to see how
things have come to be, as it helps us to understand why architectures have
developed to the way they are today.
