We’re just going to recognize two people in the audience right now and there is a third who will join us on the replay. We have three judges. Jaimie Pickles with Canal Partner and Mike Wise with IdeaStar, both well known in the insurance industry, especially to the insurance technology community. Another person who’s extremely well known is Pat Saporito. She is on a client engagement today but will be listening to this at her first opportunity. She’s been with us on other programs and always gives us a lot of good detail and thoughtful insight. I know the judges have looked at each of these entries in extreme detail.
We’re going to get started in about a minute and I just want to remind everybody that our next presentation is next week – on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time. We’re going to hear from the Progressive. They’re going to be presenting an application that they’re calling F3 Internet Quoting. It’s a user-interface oriented project, very Web 2.0.
So before we get started, Paul, do you want to give us a little context in this year’s E-Fusion program?
TINNIRELLO: As always I’m delighted to have the finalists presenting their particular projects for the E-Fusion Award. It’s been an exciting year again. I think the program today is going to be filled with a lot of interesting visuals, certainly coming from one of the finalists in this particular area we have been working on for quite some time. I think, Lee, as you have pointed out in the past, the E-Fusion award is designed for those companies that have shown a great diligence in applying technology to a business purpose. I don’t think we’re going to be disappointed when we see American Family talk about that in this particular application.
MCDONALD: Just before we get started, if you want to go to any of those you can register for any of those you can go to EFusion2008.com or you can go to www.ambest.com/efusion. When you get to that site we have the next presentation, which you can always register for at any time. We’re also posting these presentations as transcripts and video playbacks, so that would have all the screen images plus in-studio video and anything else that we need to put in there.
They’ve been getting a nice bit of traffic, people seem to find them enjoyable so if you here something interesting here it’s going to be captured and we see a lot of referral there.
At this point, I’m going to transfer control of the presentation over to Deborah’s machine. Ken, Rick and company, I’m turning it over to you.
FEATHERSTON: We certainly appreciate the opportunity to tell you about the Teen Safe Driver Program. Over the next 30 minutes that you’ll really get a grasp of how excited American Family is about the impact that this pilot program is having on our customers and their young drivers.
Our presentation starts with a brief overview of our company and then I will describe the business need and purpose for Teen Safe Driver, followed by details of the pilot program itself, including the use of technology that really makes this terrific, innovative program possible.
