mistake. Nembutal is not available at Mexican pharmacies.
Nembutal is only available at Mexican veterinary supply and
pet shops. Some stores are located in the main streets and at
major intersections, others are hidden up side streets and alleys.
By walking several blocks in downtown Tijuana, you will be
sure to see a Farmacia Veterinaria.

Buying Nembutal
In Mexico, the drug Pentobarbital goes by a range of names,
almost all of them in Spanish. Brands include Sedalforte,
Sedalpharma, Pentovet, Anestesal and Barbithal. If you don’t
speak Spanish, rather than trying to pronounce these names, it
is often useful to show the photos contained in this book.
One tourist recently bought her Nembutal without saying
anything. She entered a Vet Shop, showed the photos, the
man behind the counter gestured, as if he were sleeping, she
nodded, the shop assistant then made a sign for 30 with his
hands, she handed over US$30 and left the shop. No words
were exchanged: no questions were asked.
