cricket competitions in which Hampshire take part.
LV County Championship
• Season runs from April through to September
• Two Divisions of nine teams with promotion and relegation for two teams
in each division
• Eight home and eight away fixtures per season
• Played in white clothing over four days
• Two innings per team
• Most prestigious and tactical format of the game
Friends Provident Trophy
• Matches played during April and May
• 18 first class Counties plus Ireland and Scotland in two regional conferences of
10 teams
• Teams play each other once, either at home or away
• Five home fixtures in 2009
• Semi Finals and a Lord’s Final in July (not included in membership – further
details of how to purchase tickets will be sent with your membership card)
