LVMESSAGE 28TH LOUIS VUITTON HAWAII INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
Aloha and welcome to the 28th annual Louis Vuitton Hawaii International
Film Festival.
We are excited to again collaborate with the Hawaii International
Film Festival for a seventh year, showcasing local and internation-
al films to be enjoyed by both our residents and visitors alike.
The Louis Vuitton Hawaii International Film Festival continues to
gain momentum in terms of visibility and attendance, providing a
forum for expression at all levels of filmmaking. Over the years,
the menu of films presented during the festival has been diverse,
from Academy Award winning films and more obscure titles to
local productions which have brought attention and accolade to
evolving talents and rising stars. Regardless of origin, the com-
mon thread that binds all of the films presented is that of creativi-
ty, passion and cultural awareness. Given Hawaii’s diverse cultural
mix, these films keep in perspective the importance of us remaining
open-minded, impartial, unbiased and more accepting of others’ points
of view. Further, films presented offer us the opportunity to learn, dis-
cover and grow.
Year after year, the Louis Vuitton Hawaii International Film Festival
benefits from the numerous community leaders and volun-
teers who are committed in delivering a quality prod-
uct to the community. This year is no exception
and we send a sincere mahalo to all who have
dedicated their time and resources to ensure
the event’s success.
