Dennis Lambert was one of the most successful and diverse songwriter/producers of the ‘70s and ‘80s, with
hits like ‘Ain’t No Woman Like The One I’ve Got,’ ‘Rhinestone Cowboy,’ and ‘Nightshift.’ Today, he’s a 60-year-
old family man selling houses in Florida. But his obscure 1972 solo album is huge – in the Philippines.
A Filipino promoter has begged Dennis to tour for decades, and in 2007 he finally agreed. A hilarious docu-
mentary that follows Dennis as he rediscovers his passion for music. Some lives deserve an encore.

Loathed by teachers for their unruliness and talent for tall tales (which they use to scam other kids for loose
change), they are nicknamed Liar No. 1 and Liar No. 2, and banished to the library to repair books. This
becomes their hotbed of storybook adventure, fueling a belief that a nearby marine park is a "portal to hyper-
space" - some magical shortcut to adulthood. However, their plan is spoiled by an act of betrayal that leads
to the loss of innocence. Over time we learn why the boys want to stop being kids: their respective family
situations offer numerous difficulties and challenges. Masterfully blending animation with live action
sequences, director Ya-Che Yang dedicates this bittersweet film “to children who want to rush into adult-
hood, as well as grownups who wish to be kids again.”

Nada’s husband, Zouheir, has spent the past 10 years in prison for unspecified reasons. His best friend, Amer,
has been looking after Nada and her daughter. His obvious pleasure in this task, and time he devotes to it,
proves a thorn in the side of his jealous wife Salma, who alternates between threatening to divorce him and
begging him to impregnate her with a second child. Meanwhile, Nada has so come to rely on Amer: that
having him in her bed seems inevitable – in spite of both parties feeling guilty. When it looks like Zouheir will
be released at last, Amer faces a final struggle between his noble intentions and all-too-human feelings.

Twenty-five-year-old Sita makes a living as a prostitute in a karaoke bar, but not even this is enough to sup-
port her sick mother who is looking after her little girl in the country, nor does she have sufficient funds to
pay off her debt to the brutal pimp Suroso. Desperation forces the young woman to find an uninviting but
cheap bedsit in an attic room above a photography studio. Its owner, the taciturn, withdrawn aging photog-
rapher Johan, begins to form a part of her life – in quite a different way from the men she has known until
now. Sita resolves to start afresh, and when she discovers that the sick photographer only has a few months
to live, she decides to fulfill his last wishes.
