Living in Harmony with Your Dosha
“W
hat’s your dosha?” If you know, consider
yourself one step closer to achieving balance
and a life lived to the fullest. If you don’t, perhaps
it’s time you discovered Ayurveda, the 5,000-year-old
science of life and longevity.
“Ayurveda is the sister science to yoga, and it’s just
beginning to hit the radar screens of wellness seekers
in the United States,” says Lorraine Gengo, a licensed
clinical Massage Therapist who will conduct a work-
shop on “Living in Harmony with Your Dosha.” The
workshop will provide an introduction to Ayurveda,
dosha assessments, and simple lifestyle practices to
achieve optimal health and balance. “Doshas are the
psycho-physiological energies that orchestrate all the
activities that occur within us, from how we metabo-

lize our food to how we process thoughts and emo-
tions,” Gengo adds. “Each of us has a unique doshic
imprint, which indicates what we need to maintain our health and well-being.”
