drawers in total to meet the couple’s storage
needs, each one designed to be as deep as
that bit of unit allowed, some up to 600mm
deep.
Even the wine bottles are kept in a
dedicated drawer. Colin was able to specify
a small under-counter freezer and used
Hotpoint’s 900mm-wide fridge drawers to
give sufficient chilled storage for the couple,
and his job was made easier by the client not
insisting on many of the appliance goodies
currently seen as kitchen must-haves. “In
terms of appliances they wanted an oven
and a gas hob,” he says. “I pushed towards
induction and ever since they’ve thanked
me for that. I have induction at home and
in terms of ease of cleaning and speed of
cooking it’s fantastic.”
