Timing and Method
In conclusion, it has been demonstrated that the efficacy of plant
stanol esters is highest when consumed as part of a meal, and is
compromised when taken on an empty stomach. An optimum dose
at a relatively low level (approximately 2 g per day) provides maxi-
mum effect, and can be taken once a day with a meal.
