In three short years since The Cheaters formed
in Baltimore, the foursome have produced an LP,
toured all over the nation and been the lone US band
invited to the Saltsound Festival in Lithuania.
Their sound is best broken down as Lynyrd Skynyrd swamp music
with blues-influenced rock - an offbeat and refreshing style compared
to the multitudes of new “progressive” acts around today. There
are two chances to catch them in Annapolis this month: they’re at
Armadillo’s on August 10th and The Whiskey August 15th.
If you want to liven up the show a bit,
just ask the guys to reenact their
evening in Lithuania where they literally
lit up the local watering hole with
homemade moonshine.
They’re guaranteed
to set the night on fire.
