Wednesday 27 June 2007 Simply Group Ltd at +44 (0) 20 8542 9090.
The WCO’s SAFE Framework of Standards represents one of
the Organization’s most ambitious projects in its history.
Formulated to maximize Customs-to-Customs and Customs-
to-Business co-operation through its Authorized Economic
Operator (AEO) concept, facilitation benefits will be offered
to those traders who comply with basic security standards,
thus allowing for increased security of the supply chain
whilst facilitating the movement of legitimate trade.
The Seminar, led by experts from the WCO and the
European Commission, will explore the Framework, with
particular emphasis on AEOs and how this concept is
being implemented at a practical level within the
European Union. The seminar will also examine the
topical issue of integrated border management: a
balanced approach that involves proper national and
international co-operation and co-ordination among the
various authorities involved in border management
issues to ensure that borders are managed with
maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
