2007 was a busy, and very satisfactory year for Rivit s.r.l. The
company achieved overall growth of 27%, reflecting a huge increase
in international activities, with export sales growing by almost 60%.
During 2007 Rivit increased the number of countries with which it has
developed important relationships or commercial partnerships to 32 nations on
5 continents.
“Participation in many exhibitions proved to be an excellent policy allowing us
to meet many new people and start new relationships,” explains Manuele
Avanzolini. “This has allowed Rivit to become more and more popular and has
also allowed the completeness of the ‘fasteners&tools’ programme, as well as
the high quality of its products, to be fully appreciated by customers.”
Manuele is clear that the sales team’s extensive travels has allowed Rivit to
make it strengths even better known. “The extent and depth of the range of
products, their high quality, is backed by constant innovation and development
of new solutions, excellent stock availability and an effective after-sales service.
All these things make both a commercial and human being oriented company.”
Rivit’s intensive efforts over a number of years has succeeded in achieving high levels of international recognition for its brand. “The Rivit brand
has gained in popularity due to this recognition,” says Manuele, “and we firmly believe it is now synonymous with reliability and quality of
product.”
The extent of Rivit’s visits to distributors and customers, as well as participation in the exhibitions, means the company has developed a very
direct knowledge of the foreign markets and the culture of the different countries in which it is present. “These meetings are really
indispensable to the Rivit management,” says Manuele “as they provide a uniquely
effective way of realising the needs of the markets as well as gauging Rivit’s position and
commercial strength in each territory.”
Rivit looks at 2008 a year of further growth as well as consolidation of the positions it has
already achieved. It is also celebrating 35 years presence in the market. “In order to prove
more and more competitive and ready to accept the new challenges that the market
imposes,” says Manuele, “the Company is focusing on its team, the opportunities it has
developed, in particular the partnership relations with distributors and, overall, the
companies diversification across both domestic and foreign markets.”
Rivit’s investment has not solely been in personal contact with its markets. Two years ago,
at its custom built warehouse and headquarters outside Bologna, the company invested in
an innovative automatic warehouse. “The system is located in a 18 metre high and 90
metre long tower, where two traslo-elevators operate,” says Manuele. “Along two aisles
there are 24,000 trays, which can contain up to 100,000 references. The rapid and precise
logistic management of our inventory is part of a wider commercial policy, with the final
aim of greater speed and precision in the execution of orders.”
Following Practical World at
Cologne, Rivit will exhibit at
EuroBLECH 2008 in Hannover, on
stand F37 in hall 13. At both fairs
the company looks forward to
initiating the next 35 years of
partnership.
