Dolphin Dynamics enjoys an enviable reputation in the travel industry, amongst customers, suppliers
and competitors. It is respected as a well run business operating with integrity and offering good
products and services. Roberto Da Re, Dolphin’s founder, saw a gap in the travel market for a
business specific system and has spent the last decade developing his vision into a proven product set.
Roberto launched Dolphin into Scandinavia in 1995, a market he knew from when he worked for Sabre
and where he could test his ideas. The product was well received and within two years the company
had established a UK office. Today Dolphin Dynamics have customers in 23 countries using its travel
solutions.
The Dolphin solution is designed to work for travel companies from every background, incorporating a
wide range of features for both corporate and retail agencies as well as tour operators, consolidators
and call centres, and as such is particularly well suited to travel companies with a mix of business.
Dolphin features a complete multi-channel point of sale application with a sophisticated browser-based
user interface, optimised for use by travel professionals, as well as a range of online booking options to
enable travel products to be effectively distributed across all sales channels.
As well as searching and booking a variety of flight sources (charter, low cost carriers, GDS, net and
published fares), Dolphin also supports non-air products, including accommodation, car hire, insurance,
transfers, ancillary products and tailor-made packages. An integrated product database and
sophisticated pricing and mark-up engine allows consultants to dynamically assemble packages, while
supplier preferencing capabilities steer sales towards suppliers providing the highest margins,
maximizing profitability for the tour operator or travel agency.
The central hub, the booking management module, delivers efficiencies in reservation processing and
fulfilment. Featuring real-time booking capture, either via Dolphin’s reservation module or directly from
a range of third party systems (including the four major GDSs and travel companies’ own websites)
eliminates the use of manual booking cards and paper BSP reports. It also removes the headaches of
expiring options, commission tracking and customer payments. Efficient fulfilment of travel sales, from
payment collection and document production, through to client and vendor management, to post-sales
reporting and accounting can be completed within this single solution.
Dolphin Dynamics is also the developer of FlightScanner, a leading web fare search engine which
enables travel agents to maintain a competitive advantage and provide the best service for their
customers by searching across multiple low cost and traditional carrier websites.
Dolphin can be accessed either locally or via the internet, allowing all users, wherever they are located,
to share a common database. It’s no surprise that travel companies are increasingly opting for Dolphin
