Welsh Recruitment
Issue 24
Credit crunch, what credit crunch?
Despite warnings of an economic slowdown over the next year, Welsh employers are still planning to recruit additional staff in the year ahead against the advice from some of the UK’s leading economists. What this means to us is that there will – contrary to various reports in the media – be opportunities to find that all important new job next year, so there’s no need to panic.
This comes as a sigh of relief given the fact that one in three Welsh workers feels that they are being held back at work. And a further 30 per cent of us believe that our bosses don’t really appreciate the work that we do, according to the findings of a poll conducted by the careers site, Monster.
It comes as no surprise, therefore, that many of us feel stressed at work with even more of us already thinking about looking for a new job in the New Year.
But there are plenty of jobs currently available in our region – 23,000 of them in fact if Mr Hain’s calculations are correct.
In this issue, we take a look at some of the best places in Wales to work including the Wales Millennium Centre which, according to press reports, has been responsible for pumping over £725 million into the Welsh economy, the equivalent of over £_ million every day.
And if the bright lights of Vegas and the excitement of Casino Royale, whetted your appetite to try your hand at the gambling table, then read our interview with one of Cardiff’s leading croupiers.
Whatever you want to do and wherever you want to work, let Welsh Recruitment find the job that’s right for you.
Enjoy.
