Would you like to have a healthy, growing, praying
church? Would you like to know that everyone who
attends your church was a healthy, growing, praying
believer? To what seminar would you send them to
accomplish that? What speaker would you bring in?
You might not need to do either. Perhaps a vehicle
for such training is already available to you . . . right
under the roof of your church . . . through the
Sunday school.
For many years, Sunday school was the primary discipleship train-

Today we face a generation that is largely biblically illiterate. This did not happen over-

night nor will the remedy to this crucial dilemma occur swiftly.
CHILDREN'S CHURCH . . . . . 30
During the '70s and '80s, celebration in worship became the accepted norm for
churches in America. Sunday school became passé, and it was theorized that we could
handle our “discipleship” in children’s church, Wednesday evening services, or possibly
other “elective” classes and studies. We have awakened in the 21
st
century to discover
some astonishing realities. Many people today cannot respond to biblical questions. They
have trouble separating Scripture from legend or myth, and the powerful examples of the
Scripture escape them. Why? They have nothing from which to draw—no scriptural
background or training.
This is just one reason why there must be a resurgence of Sunday school and disciple-
ship training for all ages. “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6,
NKJV). This will not be our epitaph!
Through NewLife and SpiritLife Sunday school curriculum, we build biblical founda-
tions and teach eternal truths related to every age level. The curriculum is also created to
draw upon the student’s interest level and provide sound Bible teaching from a Pentecostal
perspective. You can get this in many other curriculums, but not with the personal touch
provided by NewLife and SpiritLife.
Do I believe in Sunday school? You better believe I do—our future depends on it!
Blessings,
